Chapter XIII Police Cooperation: Procedural Provisions of Public Security Organs in Handling Criminal Cases

Article 364 The Ministry of Public Security is the central competent authority of public security organs for criminal judicial assistance and police cooperation. Accepting or requesting foreign countries to provide criminal judicial assistance or police cooperation through the communication channels, diplomatic channels or Interpol channels stipulated in relevant international treaties and agreements.

Local public security organs at all levels handle criminal judicial assistance and police cooperation affairs in accordance with the division of responsibilities.

If other judicial organs need the assistance of foreign police in handling criminal cases, their central competent authorities shall contact the Ministry of Public Security for handling.
