Why do Tibetan Buddha statues cover their faces with white gauze?

This is the same as some shops holding up signs with red cloth before opening. Superstition means that it is good for good luck. Because if you don't do this, you may be possessed by evil spirits. Destroyed. Wrapped in white gauze, the evil spirits won't know where the Buddha is, so they won't go up. Maybe they don't know it's a Buddha statue yet!
