Yulin Museum is located on the south side of Yudong Avenue in Yulin City (opposite to the new municipal government), and it is the only comprehensive museum at the prefecture level in Yulin City. Total investment 1 127 10000 yuan, total construction area 1398 1_.

Yulin Museum, formerly known as Yulin County Cultural Relics Management Office, was founded in 1978 and later renamed as 1989. Yulin Museum is the only city-level comprehensive museum in Yulin, which shoulders the important responsibility of protecting Yulin's historical and cultural heritage and displaying and inheriting Yulin's local traditional culture. It is a sacred temple for national education, popular science propaganda, historical culture and artistic edification, an important window to show the historical development and unique historical and cultural connotation of Yulin City (county, district) and southeastern Guangxi, and a business card of Yulin city culture.

At present, Yulin Museum has more than 3,000 cultural relics, including stone tools, bronzes, ironware, silverware, ceramics, bricks and tiles, calligraphy and painting, embroidery, bamboo and wood carving, jade stone tools, stone carvings, rubbings and currency. Among them, the most representative collections are the world's largest Lingshan bronze drum and the only double-headed sheep stick head in China.

Yulin Museum is responsible for the collection, preservation, research and display of cultural relics and specimens in five counties (cities) under the jurisdiction of the whole city, and for the protection and management of cultural relics protection units and sites, providing services for 5.4 million people in the whole city. At present, there are more than 5000 official cultural relics/kloc-0, thousands of people and specimens to be identified and hundreds of kilograms of copper coins, including more than 600 precious cultural relics (first-class 13, second-class 85), including ceramics, calligraphy and painting, bronzes, wood carvings, jade articles, coins, fossils, bricks and tiles, embroidery, rubbings and so on. Representative collections include: the Han Dynasty bronze sheep lantern (exhibited in Beijing, South and abroad for many times), the world's largest Lingshan bronze drum king, the only two-headed sheep's head in China, the bronze seal of General Tiger Button Pingdong in Nanming for six years, the chrysanthemum bowl model printed in Yuan You for seven years in Northern Song Dynasty, the sauce glaze folding bowl, dozens of bronze drums in Beiliu, and a number of paintings and calligraphy by local celebrities. There are 89 cultural relics protection units under management, including national key cultural relics protection units 1 and autonomous region key cultural relics protection units 15. There are 437 cultural relics registered and reported, and there are more than 200 cultural relics with historical, scientific and artistic value that have been preliminarily mastered but not yet registered. Over the years, Yulin Museum has made unremitting efforts in displaying local history and culture, promoting national spirit, educating young people in patriotism and revolutionary tradition, and serving the tourism economy, and has made many achievements.
