Some thoughts on regulating illegal charging of electric vehicles in residential areas

Regarding the problem of illegal charging and rectification of electric vehicles in residential areas, I pondered this matter for a long time last year, with some gains and some confusion.

1. Last year, we contacted the manufacturer and basically equipped each community with centralized charging piles for electric vehicles. Considering the factors such as sun and rain, Huimin funds are actively used in some communities to build high-end charging sheds. Some citizens use charging piles to charge, and no longer take electric cars home or pull wires privately, but some people still go their own way.

We have a deep understanding of these citizens who are still going their own way. There are two main reasons: first, fear of stealing. For most citizens riding electric cars, the income may not be high, and one or two thousand is not a decimal for them; Second, convenience. They are used to riding when they go out, not to walking for a while to get the car. They think it is a waste of time and inconvenient.

At the same time, we also found a problem when we observed several charging devices of electric vehicles. These devices only charge for charging, and continue to occupy parking spaces after charging, and generally there is no parking and charging mode, resulting in some charging parking spaces being effectively occupied.

If we start with the causes of the problem and solve the management problem of illegal charging of electric vehicles, I would like to have some ideas:

1, if you can use technology, try to use it as much as possible, which is more direct and effective than relying on the property and community to arrange people to inspect and control.

I pondered this question last year. I found that a company has developed a technology application called "Iron Eye", and Kone Elevator is cooperating with them. As long as you move the electric car into the elevator, the elevator will give an alarm, making the elevator unable to run, effectively preventing some citizens from bringing the electric car into their homes to charge; At the same time, according to the elevator door opening and closing times, elevator use frequency, elevator abnormal frequency and other big data, it provides accurate data support for "on-demand maintenance". As the competent department of the industry, I think it is simple and efficient to vigorously search and promote the application of this hard-core technology.

2. Explore systematic publicity and education for citizens.

We are used to scattered and single publicity and education. Today, aim at charging electric vehicles, wear helmets tomorrow, fight against electric fraud the day after tomorrow, and ban fireworks the day after tomorrow. In fact, we can systematically sort out what is advocated and what is forbidden, and then carry out effective publicity around these in different forms and for different groups of people.

For electric vehicle charging, it can be included in the list of prohibited behaviors, and long-term systematic and effective publicity can be carried out at all levels, instead of emphasizing today and stopping tomorrow.

At the same time, as a street community, regular publicity, inspection and rectification must also keep up, strengthen measures, truly implement this work, and put an end to safety accidents!
