The college has 20 professional teachers/kloc-0, of whom more than 46% have senior professional and technical positions, and more than 70% are "double-qualified" teachers who combine theory and skills; At the same time, the college also made full use of the talent resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and established a virtual teacher team composed of famous experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The college now has experimental training facilities such as numerical control machining center, traditional machining center, CAD/CAM laboratory, reverse engineering laboratory, motor drive, automatic control, maintenance electrician operation room, welding operation room and computer network laboratory. Established cooperative relations with Shanghai Mingde Learning Organization Research Institute, signed agreements with many large enterprises and institutions such as Institute of Chemical Materials of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mianyang Fulin Group Property Company and Changxing Property Company, and established training bases for chemical engineering and technology and property practice. Adhering to the concept of taking vocational quality education as the core and vocational ability training as the fundamental, the college strives to cultivate high-skilled talents with both professional quality and humanistic quality, and has made active explorations in setting up training programs according to students' vocational tendencies, commercializing internship training places, and changing professional education into vocational education, and achieved good results. Since 2005, the teachers and students of our college have won the national and provincial skill competitions for many times, and more than ten people have won "Bashu Skill Champion", "Sichuan Skill Star", "Mianyang Skill Champion", "Skill Star" and "Skill Model". In the second national numerical control skill competition in 2006, five players trained by the college won national awards, among which Zhao Xin, a player from the college, won the fourth place in the machining center of the secondary vocational student group. In the 2008 Sichuan Youth Vocational Skills Competition, the young teachers of the college won the first place in the assembly fitter group; In the 3rd National CNC Skills Competition in Sichuan Province, three young teachers in our college won the first place in CNC milling (workers' group), the second place in CNC lathe (workers' group) and the third place in CNC lathe (teachers' group) respectively. Ning Zhen Wu Rong, director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, was elected as the final judge of the third national numerical control skill competition.

In recent years, the college has undertaken more than 20 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and won the third prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award 1 item, the first prize of Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award 1 item, and was awarded to Deng Jiaxian Youth.
