According to the Announcement of State Taxation Administration of The People's Republic of China City, People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Value-added Tax of Tap Water Fee for Property Management Services (Announcement No.54 of State Taxation Administration of The People's Republic of China No.2016), the tap water fee charged by taxpayers for providing property management services to clients is calculated and paid at the rate of 3% according to the simple taxation method.

Accounting treatment is as follows:

1, when collecting water fee:

Debit: bank deposit or cash 103

Loan: main business income 100.

Loan: Taxes payable-VAT payable 3

2. When paying the water fee:

Debit: 90% of the main business cost.

Borrow: Taxes payable-VAT payable 2.7

Loan: bank deposit or cash 92.7

3. When paying VAT:

Borrow: Taxes payable-VAT payable 0.3

Loan: bank deposit 0.3
