What was the nickname of Fanchang in the past?

Fanchang used to be called Spring Valley.

In the second year of Yuanfeng (109), the Spring Valley County was established by Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty, and Zhou Yu was the first in the Spring Valley (county magistrate of Fanchang County) in the Three Kingdoms period.

In the first year of Daxing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (3 18), Si Marui ascended the throne as Jiankang (now Nanjing). The people of Fanyang Town in Xiangcheng County gathered from the emperor crossing the river to the spring valley, so Fanyang County was set up in the spring valley (later renamed Fanchang to avoid the taboo of Princess Fanyang).

Spring Valley and Fanchang counties coexist. In the fourth year of Emperor Xianhe (329), overseas Chinese settled in Huainan County and led counties such as Spring Valley and Fanchang. In the eighth year of Taiyuan (383), Emperor Xiao of Jin changed the Spring Valley to Yanggu. In the 9th year of Jin 'an Yi Xi (4 13), Yanggu in the province entered Wuhu County and Wuhu in the province entered Xiangyuan County. Naturally, the spring valley is deserted, but prosperous.
