In the forty-ninth year of Qing Qianlong (1784), Yanzhou government moved Tongzhi (Wupin) to Lincheng, and set up an office in a nearby post office. Later, Tongzhi was abolished, and tengxian set up a county-level yamen in Lincheng, which was called Lincheng County, and the masses used to call it "Er Ya". Lincheng county specializes in arresting prisoners, which was abolished in the early years of the Republic of China. Lincheng Street has 13 neighborhood committees and 8 natural villages: Baoshan Middle Road, Yuhua, Xinxing Street, Shuita Street, Tsinghua Street, Yongxing Road, Nangangzi Street, Longtan, Kuangshan Road, Xinhua Street, Shahe Street, Gulu Street and Baishan Neighborhood Committee. There are Nuozhuang, Sheng Qiao and Lincheng in the north, Lincheng in the south, Zhang Qiao and Ding Qiao in the west, Ding Qiao in the east and Gujing Village in the west.
Reasons for renaming Lincheng
1944, Pei Tengbian's office was changed to Lincheng Anti-Japanese Democratic Government, 1945 was called Lincheng County Government after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. 1September, 952, because ancient Guo Xue covered Lincheng area, the special agency of tengxian (prefecture level) renamed Lincheng as Xuecheng County according to the instructions of higher authorities. Changing the name from Lincheng to Xuecheng really improved the grade. 1956 Xuecheng County was abolished, and Lincheng became the eighth district in tengxian. 1960 the State Council approved the establishment of Zaozhuang city, and 1962 was promoted to a provincial city. At the same time, Yicheng County was abolished, Yicheng District and Xuecheng District were established, and some natural villages originally belonging to Teng County were classified as Xuecheng District. 1979, in order to develop Tengnan coalfield, Tengxian was placed under the jurisdiction of Zaozhuang City. Historically, Fiona Fang people, an ancient Xuecheng, said that going to Xuecheng was an ancient Xuecheng. Now the elderly go to New Xuecheng, and they say they are going to Lincheng. Lincheng is famous for the story of Flying Tigers written by Mr Liu Zhixia. In 2003, Xuecheng Town, the resident of Xuecheng District, was changed to Lincheng Street. There is a railway station.
