Master nebula's heaven and hell.

During my years of preaching Dharma, people often ask me, "Where are heaven and hell?" ? "I always answer," where are heaven and hell? It is divided into three levels: first, heaven is in the land of heaven, such as three realms for 28 days and 33 days; Hell is in the place of hell, like eighteen layers of hell, endless hell. Second, I think heaven and hell are on earth. People who live in a garden house and live a rich life are just like in heaven. People who are locked in a small room in an alley have no money and nothing to do, just like hell. In fact, the real heaven and hell are in our hearts. This third statement means that people feel happy, satisfied, happy and happy, just like in heaven; When people's hearts are full of greed, hatred, jealousy, ignorance and resentment, it is like being in hell. A person goes back and forth one day, sometimes in heaven, sometimes in hell, I don't know how many times, so I think "heaven and hell are in an instant." 」

The difference between heaven and hell. If you can understand the meaning, you will understand that the most important thing in life is to build an inner "paradise", not to patronize the life outside your heart. If the inner "heaven" is not established, leaving the miserable "hell" in your heart will bring you a miserable life. Therefore, we live in the world, even if we are in "heaven", if we can't appreciate its beauty, heaven will become "hell"; If you know how to use Buddhism to deal with difficulties and turn bad luck, then "hell" can also become "heaven". Buddhist scriptures tell us that if there is no blessing, even in heaven, there will be "five declines"; If you have compassion and will, hell will also become a paradise, just like a great wish made by a Tibetan bodhisattva. Hell is not empty and will never become a Buddha. Since the robbery, he has been working hard in hell, but we thought that the bodhisattva ksitigarbha would live in heaven forever, because the hell in his heart was already empty. Although the Buddha was born in the world of concubines, we don't think that the Buddha was born in the world of five evils, because the Buddha lived in the pure land dharma. A avalokitesvara bodhisattva came to save with a sad heart, so the blazing flame turned into a cool lotus; The venerable man in the rich building has a firm will to go to the frontier and turn evil people into evil people, so the frontier that is like "hell" in others' eyes is as comfortable as the "paradise" Dojo in his eyes.

In addition, since the past dynasties, many people with lofty ideals have never forgotten their ambition to help the world and the people, even though they have been unjustly imprisoned. For example, Sima Qian completed the immortal masterpiece Historical Records in prison, and Gandhi won India's independence in prison. On the other hand, many people live in tall buildings, but they are miserable. As the saying goes, "Nothing is difficult in the world, I'm afraid there is a will." If you have compassion and compassion, prison can also be regarded as heaven. If you worry all day and your heart is full of resentment, heaven is also a hell. Just like some people who have committed crimes, even if they are lucky enough not to be punished by law, it is still difficult to live in a "prison in the heart" every day.

During my decades as a monk, I often wandered in front of the gates of "heaven" and "hell". Thanks to the wonderful significance of Buddhism, I have been guided by correct knowledge in my faith when I have suffered various hardships, which makes me enjoy it. For example, during my ten years of studying in the jungle, I always have a good idea in my life when I have no food and clothing and no money. When unfair grievances and undue embarrassment follow one after another, I often regard a bright "one thought" as a kind of "natural" education, which can be spent with peace of mind. In this way, I often wander around the gate of "hell" and return to "heaven".

According to the classic, the venerable Sakyamuni practiced in the cemetery and had a meal every day. Seeing that he is old, the Buddha advised him to move to the refined house, but he felt like living in a "paradise". Yan Hui's "living in a mean alley can only get enough to eat and drink, which is unbearable", but he feels that he lives in a "paradise", so he "doesn't change his pleasure". The monk who carries water lives with beggars all day, and he does not forget to praise the free and easy life, because he is frank, and even in a stinking place, he is as willful and carefree as a "paradise". The Zen master said, "Go to a hot place when it is hot, and go to a cold place when it is cold. Everyone blames it, but the Zen master thinks it is the best way to practice, because he realizes that if he can be happy under any circumstances, now is "heaven". "

Looking back now, I am really ashamed of my incompetence. I remember when I was ordained, I got up at three in the morning and went to bed at ten in the evening. Every time the teacher speaks the commandments, the teachers must kneel down and listen. Every morning and evening, I often fall asleep on the ground. The teacher kicked me in the head and knew to get up quickly. Sometimes if you kneel in Danyong for a long time, pebbles will get stuck in your knees, and when you push hard, you will often bleed profusely. Some people say that this seems to be life in "hell", but fortunately, I immediately mentioned "one thought": "I must withstand the grinding chain of" hell "in order to be worthy of the great responsibility of Buddhism." I am so obsessed with each other that I can be ordained. During my study in the jungle, I didn't have enough to eat three meals a day, and I was often so hungry that my limbs trembled. Every night in the middle of winter, snowflakes are flying, so I have to curl myself up to keep out the cold. Some people say that this is like a "cold hell", the life of a hungry ghost and a beast. Fortunately, there was a "thought" in my mind at that time: "When the Buddha practiced, he also used horses and wheat to satisfy his hunger. Why can't I? In this way, in the face of evil realms such as hell, hungry ghosts and beasts, thanks to the kindness of Buddha, I was guided into the world of "heaven" again and again.

I have had many thoughts of hating people, and I have been troubled by delusion more than once in my life. Fortunately, when I am on the edge of hell, I often have the guidance of Buddhism, so I can turn my confusion into consciousness, my troubles into relief, my resentment into compassion, and my hell into heaven. Thanks to my "one thought", I can resolve setbacks and reverse Gan Kun when I encounter difficulties, so I have always advocated that life should be reversed, changed and changed. Why? Because the troubles and ignorance in the heart are "hell" and the bodhi meaning in the heart is "heaven"; The sadness and distress in the heart are "hell", and the happiness and happiness in the heart are "heaven"; Feeling injustice is "hell" and understanding equality and harmony is "heaven"; Selfishness and persistence are "hell", and Dagong's integrity is "heaven"; Greed and hatred are "hell" and willingness is "heaven"; Laziness and slackness are "hell", and diligence and diligence are "heaven"; Ignorance is "hell" and wisdom is "heaven". Heaven and hell are in one mind. As long as we destroy the "hell" in our hearts with mindfulness and build an eternal "heaven" in our hearts, we can stay away from reversing our dreams. The so-called "hell is removed, and heaven has a share." Why not?

Believers used to ask a Zen master, "Where is heaven and hell?" ? The Zen master immediately put his head in the bucket. After a while, the Zen master let go of his hands and let his head emerge from the water. The Zen master asked him, "What's the smell in the water? He replied, "It's like being in hell. The Zen master asked him again, "How do you feel now after you get out of the water? He said, "It's like being in heaven. Like this believer, most of us don't find it difficult to breathe underwater, and we don't understand that our original life was paradise. A rich chairman lives in a high-rise building, and he is often worried about the use of economic turnover and the salary increase requirements of employees. The secretary advised him to tell his troubles to a young couple who lived in a shed under a tall building. The rich man asked how to send them. The secretary said, "Give them a million dollars and you can do it. The rich man didn't want to at first, and after explaining it, he personally sent 1 million. When the young couple received the huge sum of money, they were very happy at first. Later, they thought about how to collect the million properly, and they couldn't sleep for a night before they knew they had been cheated. The next day, they quickly returned100000 to the rich man and said, "I'd better return your troubles to you!" "So, if you don't understand money, money is' hell'; If you don't understand feelings, feelings are "hell"; If you don't know how to get along with others, getting along with others is "hell"; If you don't know how to run a business, it is a hell. So, where are heaven and hell? " Heaven and hell are between one thought. " If you don't understand the mystery of this "one thought", even if the present life is a beautiful "paradise", it will become a miserable "hell".
