Introduction.

Mei village is located in the southeast of Wuxi, and it is 12km away from Wuxi city center. Mei village, called Mei Li in ancient times, was the capital of Zhou Zhangzi Taibo from Qishan, Shaanxi Province, where he proclaimed himself emperor to Wu Dynasty. More than 3200 years ago, Zhou had three sons, the eldest son Taber, the second son and the third son. King Zhou Tai likes Ji Chang, the son of Ji Li, very much and hopes that Ji Chang will succeed to the throne in the future.

In order to fulfill his father's last wish, Taibo abdicated and took his younger brother Zhong Yong from Zhongyuan to Mei Village (also known as Mei Li) on the outskirts of Wuxi, developing the vast Jiangnan area and establishing the State of Wu. Therefore, Mei Village is also known as the first ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River. Later, Ji Chang succeeded to the throne, that is, the famous Zhou Wenwang and China entered the 800-year Zhou Dynasty.

When Taibo arrived in Mei Village, it was still a beautiful place. Taibo taught the local people the advanced culture and farming techniques of the Central Plains, and led them to excavate the first person in China-Hetaibo Port, which was later widened. In the 1960s and 1970s, this canal was the main local transportation channel.

After Taibo developed Jiangnan, Wu was established. From then on, people here took the country as their surname, which lasted for 120 generations. At present, there are 24 million Wu residents in China and more than 4 million overseas. Their ancestors lived in Mei Village, and many people came here to seek their roots and worship their ancestors, to commemorate and learn from the noble character of their ancestor Taber's "Sanrang" throne. They also organized some people to sort out Wu's genealogy in Taibo Temple, and many people came here to renew it.
