Benxi special

Benxi is a dumbbell-shaped distribution with mountainous territory, and its natural landform is "eight mountains, one water and half fields, half roads and half manors". Benxi is located in the southeast of Liaoning Province, with a total area of 84 1 1.3 square kilometers. It borders Shenyang and Fushun in the north (77km from Shenyang and 79km from Fushun), Dandong (Dandong198km) in the south, Liaoyang (46km from Liaoyang) and Anshan in the west, and Jilin (Tonghua 65438+) in the east. 2. Climate characteristics

Benxi belongs to temperate climate zone, with an average temperature of 6. 1~7.8℃, and the hottest average temperature in July is 24.3℃. The coldest January, the average temperature is-14.3℃. There is abundant rainfall, with an average annual precipitation of 800- 1000mm, half of which is concentrated in July and August in summer. Looking at the whole year, it is sunny in spring, slightly hot and rainy in summer, crisp in autumn and snowy in winter.

3. Characteristics of natural resources

Benxi has 45 kinds of minerals such as iron, copper, zinc, gypsum and marble, among which the proven reserves of iron ore are more than 2.7 billion tons, the reserves of limestone (cement) are 265.438 billion tons, and the reserves of dissolved lime (metallurgy) are 65.438 billion tons. Nanfen open-pit iron mine has the characteristics of low phosphorus, low sulfur and low impurities, and the iron extracted from this iron mine is known as "ginseng iron". There are more than 200 rivers in Benxi, including 27 rivers, with a drainage area of 100 square kilometers, including three major water systems: Taizi River, Hunjiang River and Caohe River. The annual total water resources is 3.923 billion cubic meters, the annual average surface runoff is 3.5 billion cubic meters, and the available water is 2.976 billion cubic meters. The total amount of water resources is 3.3 billion cubic meters.
