The new campus has been moved to the University Town of Huxi Town, Shapingba, Chongqing. Students just moved in this year, and most schools are still under construction. The specific location is next to the east gate of Huxi Campus of Chongqing University, which is the roadside from Huxi Town to Zengjia Town. You can take bus No.266 at the entrance of Shapingba Teachers College and get off at Huxi Town, then transfer to Huzeng Line and get off at the door!

Chongqing Social Work Vocational College (renamed Chongqing Urban Management Vocational College) is a public institution of higher learning at the junior college level sponsored by Chongqing Municipal People's Government, approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and directly under Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. It is a national training institution for skilled talents and an advanced unit of vocational education in China. The school was established in 1984. It was originally the Chongqing Civil Affairs School of the Ministry of Civil Affairs founded by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. In March of 20001year, it was upgraded to Chongqing Social Work Vocational College. On March 1 day, 2006, it was renamed Chongqing Urban Management Vocational College with the approval of Chongqing Municipal People's Government. The campus environment is fresh and elegant, and it is an ideal place to study.

The college covers an area of 654 mu (including 452 mu in the new campus of Chongqing University Town), with a construction area of 6,543,800 square meters (the planned new campus is 280,000 square meters). The total value of teaching instruments and equipment in the college is more than RMB120,000, with advanced experimental training equipment and complete facilities. There are 33 on-campus practice training rooms for computers, electronics and electricians, rehabilitation nursing, more than 50 off-campus practice bases and Industry-University-Research bases. It has a campus computer network and 790 microcomputers adapted to modern teaching and management. The library has 250,000 books and more than 600 kinds of newspapers and periodicals. Life service facilities, first-class cultural and sports facilities and colorful campus cultural life provide superior conditions for students' all-round development.

The college now has seven teaching departments, including Civil Affairs College, Business Administration Department, Electronic Information Engineering Department, Engineering Management Department, Humanities and Arts Department, Technician College Management Department (Continuing Education College) and Basic Teaching Department, offering 33 majors. The college offers both general and adult higher education, and recruits high school graduates who take the college entrance examination and secondary vocational graduates who take the entrance examination for higher vocational education organized by various localities. There are nearly 5000 students at present.

There are nearly 300 full-time and part-time teachers in the college, including 55 professors, researchers and associate professors, 2 lecturers1/kloc-0, and 68 doctors and masters. "Double-qualified" teachers account for 70% of full-time teachers, and more than 20 visiting professors are hired from universities such as Peking University and Hongkong City University. Teachers have made great achievements in teaching and scientific research. In recent years, they have completed 25 projects at or above the provincial level, published more than 400 papers in international academic conferences and public professional journals at or above the provincial level, and published more than 80 kinds of teaching materials.

The college has set up a national vocational skill appraisal institute and a computer information technology examination station, which can appraise the initial, middle and advanced professional qualifications of 26 occupations, including computer debuggers, computer operators, property managers, community workers, elderly caregivers, rehabilitation health care workers, psychological counselors, undertakers, secretaries, public relations personnel and hr administrator.

The college actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, and cooperates with similar institutions in the United States, Australia, Norway, Austria and Hong Kong, providing extensive learning and exchange opportunities for teachers and students.

Due to its outstanding achievements in running schools, the College has been awarded the honorary titles of "Chongqing Advanced Collective of Vocational Education", "Chongqing Advanced Collective of Graduate Employment", "National Advanced Collective of Moral Education", "National Advanced Unit of Vocational Education" and "National Model Unit of National Unity and Progress" by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government.
