During the 30-year franchise period, MTR (Shenzhen) will be responsible for all expenses of longhua line's operation, maintenance and asset management, and the Shenzhen Municipal Government will provide appropriate financial support. Longhua line, as the first rail transit project invested and operated by MTR (Shenzhen) in China in the form of "build-operate-transfer", is the first large-scale infrastructure construction project of Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation since CEPA was formally implemented, and it is also a pioneering attempt to implement CEPA agreement and explore a new mode of Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation construction project.
