Yaxi Town (Gaochun International Slow City) is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Yaxi Town, located in the east of Gaochun District, Nanjing, is one of the new small towns in Jiangsu Province, with Liyang in the east, 8 kilometers away from Dingbu Town, Langxi County, Anhui Province in the south and Lishui County in the north. Yaxi has a long history, with human activities as early as 3000 years ago. The formation of Yaxi market town began at the end of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty, and its superior geographical conditions made it a commercial gathering center in the border areas of two provinces and four counties.

The six administrative villages in Yaxi town are located on both sides of a 48-kilometer-long scenic belt, sometimes by mountains and rivers, and sometimes through mountains and forests. Birds and flowers are singing along the way, showing the pastoral scenery. The "ecological tour" in Yaxi town, the ecological golden ratio of three mountains, two waters and five fields, and the integration of mountains, water, city and forest make this small town in the south of the Yangtze River unique. Yaxi Village Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Park in Yaxi Town was founded in 1998. The planned area of the first phase is 1.300 mu. Under the guidance of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Zhenjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other scientific research institutes, it is an efficient agricultural science and technology demonstration park integrating experiment, demonstration and popularization. The whole demonstration park invested 828 1.600 yuan, and all of them realized "standardization of field leveling, desertification of mechanized ploughing, networking of green forests in the field and hardening of ditches", and built 688 steel-framed greenhouses, 450 mu of demonstration bases for producing more than a dozen off-season high-quality vegetables, introduced and planted 300 mu of high-quality strawberries, and built steel-framed grape condensation-column greenhouses, which were planted in Japan.
