The service life of the elevator is 15 to 18 years.

Elevator belongs to special equipment, so when in use, relevant departments should carry out regular maintenance on the elevator. At the same time, it must pass the inspection of special equipment testing institutions and obtain the "elevator qualified use sign" before it can continue to be used.

If the elevator qualified use mark is accidentally damaged, you can hang a copy of the qualified use mark or go to the elevator inspection agency to reissue it.

The traction, control and car door system have been reformed, and the elevator performance has been judged by the testing unit to be close to the new elevator level, which can be popularized.

If the elevator is not replaced after the service expires, the owner shall apply to the testing unit for testing. If it is judged that it can continue to be used, you can apply for extending the service, but the testing period should be shortened to 6 months, 1 time.

The elevator belongs to the community public equipment, and the property right belongs to all owners. Therefore, when the elevator exceeds its service life and needs to be replaced, the personnel of the property or owners' committee can contact professional organizations or manufacturers for replacement.

To sum up, when the elevator exceeds the maintenance period or the service life expires and needs to be replaced, if a special maintenance fund is set up in the community, the expenses will be paid by the community maintenance fund.

If there is no maintenance fund or the maintenance fund is insufficient, the remaining expenses shall be shared equally by all owners, but the first-floor users may not share it.

Service life regulation of residential elevators

An elevator that meets one of the following conditions shall be scrapped:

(1) If the building is designed with only one elevator (no spare elevator), the service life will reach 15 years; Have a spare ladder for 18 years;
