Main activities of Peking University Love Society

Love Society consists of four practical departments: Children's Department, Helping the Disabled Department, Campus Department and Caring for the Elderly Department, three functional departments: External Relations Department, Organization Department and Propaganda Department, as well as Secretariat, Funding Department, Sign Language Division and Wan Li Project Team. Under the guidance of the presidium, the heads of various departments specifically manage the affairs within the departmental group.

The activities of the Children's Department include: three teaching activities-Dandelion Middle School, Tongxin Hope Primary School and Lantian Fengyuan to provide after-school counseling for migrant children; Two kinds of nursing activities-Peace House and Peking University Kindergarten, offer love to disabled children and orphans. Dongwangzhuang Growth Partner Activity —— Establishing a warm one-to-one growth partner model with migrant children. Guard the angels in your heart and put invisible wings on them with a smile. Every June, the children's group will also hold a large-scale activity-Children's Day series.

The activities of the Ministry of Helping the Disabled include: Beijing School for the Blind-offering tutoring classes for children in blind schools; Xingyu education institution-playing with autistic children; Audio book-recording audio books for visually impaired children who are in urgent need of knowledge. Every May, when the week of helping the disabled comes, the group will hold a series of activities to publicize the concept of "equal helping the disabled".

The work of the campus department can be divided into daily activities and major activities. Regular activities to love the construction site-share their experiences with migrant workers; Love Umbrella-When it rains suddenly, students can use our umbrella freely in the teaching building. Large-scale activities include collecting clothes-further spreading love and giving old clothes to those in need; Lecture on love-calling for love, spreading love, starting from the campus and starting from the side; School sports meeting, winter long-distance running service-after sweating, a glass of water can also warm people's hearts and spleen; Run in righteousness-follow in terry fox's footsteps, awaken people around you with your own actions, and contribute to the cause of curing cancer; We will also hold corresponding publicity activities on Thanksgiving Day and Mother's Day.

The Department of Care for the Elderly regularly carries out activities such as caring for the elderly in Xiangshan Apartment, empty nest teaching songs, playing table tennis with the old professor, walking with the old professor and caring for the old professor. Every year, a series of activities such as Double Ninth Festival and free clinic for the elderly are held. At the same time, we explore the concept of caring for the elderly, pay attention to the aging population and social security, and are determined to call on people's consciousness and behavior of loving, respecting and caring for the elderly through their efforts. We try our best to keep the sunset beautiful and brilliant.

The funding department integrates social resources, builds a funding platform, provides cash assistance to poor students in the form of one-on-one or batch scholarships, provides hardware resources such as books for poor schools, enriches students' spiritual life, and holds an essay contest for rural middle school students to give children an opportunity to express their feelings and show their talents. Volunteers from the aid department visited poor schools and students in the west, sorted out love books, read the fine print written by children in the west, and made modest and great contributions to social welfare.

The Miles Project Team is responsible for the preparation of the Love Club's large-scale summer education activity "Love Miles", including contacting schools, sponsors and planning publicity activities.

As the functional department of Caring for the Society's external relations, the International Liaison Department has created a solid condition for the Practice Department to better dedicate its love. The main work of the International Liaison Department includes: soliciting sponsorship and writing plans-providing material support for giving love; Reporter station-record the love footprints of each member with words and pictures; External contact-seek cooperation with institutions and fraternal societies, and expand the influence and popularity of the love society with the help of the media.

The organization department is the link of the caring society, and is responsible for planning large-scale internal activities for the whole society, recruiting new members, sending-off parties for old members, social celebrations, organizing spring and autumn tours and so on.

The propaganda department leads the propaganda work of the whole society, which is divided into two parts: online and offline. Online includes Weibo and Love Station of Peking University Love Society, while offline includes posters, display boards, leaflets, promotional videos and Yi Labao productions.

The secretariat is responsible for the daily affairs of the whole society, such as information retention, meeting minutes writing, activity record arrangement, Baidu Encyclopedia maintenance, etc.

The sign language department insists on offering sign language classes once a week, including daily conversations, basic appellations, sign language songs and so on. Sign language classes will continue to be the classics and brands of sign language branches. At the same time, the sign language branch also carries out activities such as sign language corner and conference exchange. The sign language branch takes calling for love, equality and helping the disabled as its concept. Through sign language teaching and communication, we call for attention to the special group of deaf people and call for more care from the society.
