If the company handles it online in the State Grid PP or the nearest business hall, no service fee will be charged for the whole service process. Where an agent is entrusted, a power of attorney and the agent's ID card shall also be provided.

Process of applying new watt-hour meter in State Grid

1. Prepare relevant materials, including identification (ID card or household registration book), real estate license of electricity address (real estate license), and consent letter for construction of charging facilities issued by the property;

2. Go to the power grid business hall to queue up for application, and the staff will review the relevant information;

3. Select the power consumption type. Generally, the charging pile below 7kW should be 220V for household use, and it should be 380V for faster charging. Charging piles above 1 1kW must be industrial 380V. In some areas, the electricity price of 220V is the same as that of 380V, and in some areas, 380V will be more expensive than 220 V. Take Guangzhou as an example for your reference.

4. About three days after the declaration, the master of the power grid will come to your place to step on the spot to confirm the installation position of the charging pile and where the power cord is connected. After planning, the master will bring all the tools to the door for construction within a few days. Electricity meters and wires (within a certain length) required for installing charging piles are free.
