Where is the Xujiawan site of Tangqiao?

Tangqiao Xujiawan site is a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province.

Xujiawan site is located in Xujiawan, garden village, Tangqiao Town. The site was originally a highland with a total area of more than 20,000 square meters. 1In May and August, 1985, Suzhou Museum and Shazhou County Cultural Center jointly excavated, with an excavation area of 425 square meters. Three tombs 13, eight ash pits 18, three building foundations, as well as wells, ditches and stoves were found. More than 280 cultural relics were unearthed, including 166 from tombs, 103 from exploration sites and more than 20 cultural relics in the collection. Unearthed artifacts include stone tools such as hammers, axes, graupels, knives, chisels, plows, stone balls, arrows, spinning wheels, jade articles such as yellow, _, pipes and earrings, pottery such as beans, cans, ding, pots and cups, and colored stone balls (stone shells) and colored stones. Professor You of Zhejiang Agricultural University analyzed the unearthed 14 grains, including 5 grains of indica rice and 9 grains of japonica rice. The coexistence of indica and japonica rice is similar to that of Songze and Luojiajiao sites. The Second Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration and the Stratigraphic Paleontology Laboratory of Nanjing Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources conducted carbon 14 determination and sporopollen analysis, respectively, and determined that the site was about 5,500 years ago and belonged to the Songze cultural type in the Neolithic Age. 1992 was announced as a cultural relics protection unit in zhangjiagang city.

Tangqiao Town: Tangqiao Town, Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province is located at the intersection of China coastal area and Yangtze River economic development belt, in the southeast of Zhangjiagang City, an emerging port city in the Yangtze River Delta, surrounded by large and medium-sized cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Nantong.
