Shaoguan is a city in Guangdong Province.

Shaoguan City is located in the north of Guangdong Province, bordering Hunan Province in the north, Jiangxi Province in the east, Heyuan City, Huizhou City, Guangzhou City and Qingyuan City in the southeast, south and west respectively.

It is located between 23 53' and 25 31'north latitude,112 53' ~14 45' east longitude, starting from Jiezhi Village, Jiezhi Town, Nanxiong City, and reaching Lechang in the west. The total area of the city is 18400 square kilometers, ranking second in Guangdong Province, with an urban area of 2870.66 square kilometers.

At the end of 20021,the registered population of Shaoguan was 3,367,500, including urban population1536,900.
