Danyang Campus officially opened in September 20 17, with a total area of 900 mu and a planned construction area of 387,500 square meters. Since September, 20 17, the freshmen enrolled by the college have been studying in Danyang campus, and all of them have moved to Danyang in September, 2020.

Danyang Campus has complete infrastructure and excellent teaching and research conditions. It is a brand-new campus with modern wisdom campus, ecological campus, humanistic campus, low-carbon campus and open campus.

Zhongbei College of Nanjing Normal University was established in 1999, which was jointly organized by Nanjing Normal University, a century-old prestigious school, and the Education Development Foundation of Nanjing Normal University. It is the first independent college approved by the Ministry of Education and a public welfare institution approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Institution Registration Administration.

The college has eight departments, namely humanities department, foreign languages department, economics and management department, public administration department, information science and technology department, engineering department, fine arts department and music department. There are 38 undergraduate majors, involving economics, law, literature, science, engineering, management, art and so on.

More than 80% of the teachers in the college have senior professional titles, and many young teachers have been selected as the training targets of the "333 High-level Talents Training Project" in Jiangsu Province and the outstanding young backbone teachers of the "Blue Project" in colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province.
