The Development Course of China's Foreign Trade Center

China Foreign Trade Center was originally named China Export Commodities Exhibition Hall. Since its establishment, it has been a permanent institution of China Import and Export Fair, and is responsible for undertaking China Import and Export Fair. During the period of 1957-1979, it was a public institution directly under MOFTEC.

1April, 979, with the approval of the State Council, China Export Commodities Exhibition Hall was transformed into an enterprise and renamed as Guangzhou Foreign Trade Center.

1In the autumn of 986, Guangzhou Foreign Trade Center was renamed as China (Guangzhou) Foreign Trade Center.

On August 29th, 1988, China (Guangzhou) Foreign Trade Center was renamed China Foreign Trade Center (Group).

1999 is listed as one of the 25 enterprises with good export performance commended by MOFTEC.

In April of 20001year, with the approval of the central organizing office, China foreign trade center (group) was restructured into a public institution and renamed as China foreign trade center, and the legal person registration of the public institution was completed in July of 20001year.

China Foreign Trade Center is fully responsible for the organization, management and undertaking of China Import and Export Fair in spring and autumn every year, and also manages various forms of exhibitions (including exhibitions in China, overseas/domestic exhibitions and domestic exhibitions), trade, advertising, property, tourism, hotels, restaurants, real estate and other businesses.
