What are the routes to climb Zijin Mountain in Nanjing?

At present, there are six main hiking trails:

1. Sakura Camel Village/Wang Jiang Temple (the fastest way)

Yingtuo Village (the north side of the wall of the gas company)-fire protection sentry box-crossing the north fire protection road of Zijinshan Mountain-along the hiking trail to the top of the mountain;

This road can be regarded as a traditional route, with many people walking. However, this road is dominated by mountain roads, which are basically gravel roads. It's not easy to walk, and the slope is big. The biggest place is over 45 degrees, and it's a little tired to climb up. There are many cyclists on this road, especially on weekends, and cyclists are often seen riding bicycles down the hillside, which is prone to danger, so it is not recommended for the elderly to take this road to exercise. Generally speaking, it takes 40 minutes to get to the top of the mountain if it is fast, and it takes an hour to get to the top if it is slow.

Second, lock in the golden village (the best way)

No.49 Bancang Street (east of the dormitory wall of the Administration)-hiking trail-geomagnetic station-Observatory Road-Observatory-Ximayao-follow the hiking trail to the top of the mountain;

This road is similar to the second line, but the entrance is different. They are all cement roads, and there is no big slope, so it is easier to walk.

White Horse Park (the most popular road)

Taipingmen (Dragon Neck)-Observatory Road-Observatory-Ximayao-along the hiking trail to the top of the mountain;

This road should be regarded as the lowest intensity road. The road surface is relatively wide, all cement roads, and the road is relatively gentle and there is no steep slope, so it is easier to walk, so this road should be regarded as the most popular route with strong popularity. However, this road has a carriageway, especially on weekends, when cars come and go on Longjing Road, car exhaust is easy to make people feel uncomfortable, and avoiding cars is a bit annoying. It takes about an hour to reach the top of the mountain along this road.

Fourth, Xiazi Lake (the quietest road)

Taipingmen (Dragon Neck)-the staff canteen on the east side of Zijinshan Cableway Parking Lot-Ximayao-along the hiking trail to the top of the mountain;

This road is roughly the same as the second route. There are fewer people than the second route, but the road from the parking lot to Ximayao is a mountain road with a slope of about 40 degrees, which makes it a little tired to climb up. People who are tired of walking on Observatory Road can change here occasionally, which can be a little fresh.

5. Sports Institute/Zhong Ling Street (the most challenging road)

Slide amusement park, Shuixie intersection-Zhongshan Academy-cross Yongmu Road along the hiking trail to Zhongmayao-the top of the mountain;

This road is more challenging. From Zhongshan Academy to Zhongmayao, there are many stairs. Climbing up is very tiring and requires physical strength. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the peak.

6. Huanling Road (the most suitable road for the elderly)

East Entrance of Inner Ring Road (Maqun North)-Fan Hongxian's Tomb-Dongmayao-Zhongmayao-Peak.

This road is taken from Mamenkou, which is relatively remote, with less traffic and people. Therefore, compared with other roads, this route is safer and quieter, and climbing slowly, which is more suitable for the elderly to exercise.
