1, the concept of going to nine dynasties

Every year, on the 9th day of the first lunar month, Tianshui citizens will go out of the city to yuquan temple for a "look", which is one of the biggest mass cultural activities in Tianshui.

Every year, from the evening of the eighth day of the first month, citizens flock to yuquan temple like a flood. At zero o'clock, the crowd was almost packed, and the bells, drums and people's cheers blended together until the next morning, when the crowd gradually stopped.

2. Fuxi Temple Association

On the 16th day of the first lunar month, Fuxi was born according to legend. On this day, it is the famous Fuxi Temple "Renzu" temple fair in Tianshui. For Tianshui people, this day every year is a day to pay homage to Fuxi, the ancestor of mankind, in order to remember the kindness of ancestors, carry forward Fuxi culture and promote social unity and progress.

3. Tianshui Bath Buddha Festival

Tianshui has a long history of Buddhist activities, especially the "Buddha washing festival" on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month. On the eighth day of April, Maijishan Grottoes, Gangu Daxiangshan Grottoes, Gai Hua Temple Grottoes, Wushan water curtain cave Grottoes, Muti Temple Grottoes, Nanguo Temple in Qinzhou District and Jingtu Temple in Maiji District all welcomed thousands of tourists, forming a major cultural landscape of Tianshui traditional temple fair.

Shehuo, also known as "Tianshui Yangko", is the general name of various folk song and dance forms widely popular in Tianshui urban and rural areas. During the Spring Festival every year, the towns and villages outside the city form a large array of yangko performances, which are very lively.

Xiaoqu, commonly known as stall yangko, is very popular in Tianshui, with Qin 'an Xiaoqu as the most representative. According to legend, Qin 'an Xiaoqu was formed in Ming Dynasty and flourished in Qing Dynasty, which can be divided into coloratura and old tune. The ditty is sung in the local folk dialect, only singing is not white; Instrumental music is mainly based on the rhythm of tapping, accompanied by three strings, or accompanied by instrumental music such as gongs, drums, cymbals and four tiles.
