School begins in Dongzhou Campus of Jiangnan University! On August 28th, nearly 100 senior graduate students from School of Marxism and School of Design of Jiangnan University moved from Lihu Campus to Dongpu Campus, becoming the first batch of students to settle in Dongpu Campus. The Sudong Campus of Jiangnan University is located in Xinzhuang Street, with a planned total land area of 35.7 1 hectare and a total construction area of about 305,000 square meters.

The design of this project is based on Jiangnan style, Yixing characteristics and the elements of Lihu Campus of Jiangnan University. The functional layout is reasonable according to local conditions, which realizes the organic integration of campus architecture and campus environment, and is conducive to the cultivation of high-end talents and scientific research innovation. At the same time, campus planning embodies the characteristics of modernization, digitalization and sustainability, and creates a green campus and a smart campus. Among them, the land area of the first phase project that has been put into use at present is 3 10 mu, and the planned construction area is about124,700 square meters, which mainly includes single buildings such as scientific research building, comprehensive college building, international exchange center, student canteen, student apartment I, student apartment II, gymnasium, sports stand and municipal supporting facilities.
