Introduce Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing

South Lake is located in the southeast of Jiaxing, with beautiful scenery and a long history. It was called Lu Weichi in ancient times, also known as Hu Biao. South Lake is divided into East Lake and West Lake, which looks like a mandarin duck crossing the neck. In ancient times, Yuanyang often lived in the lake, so it was also called Yuanyang Lake. After the Sui Dynasty dug the North-South Grand Canal, with the development of economy, tourism also flourished. After the Song Dynasty, South Lake, East Lake in Shaoxing and West Lake in Hangzhou were called the three famous lakes in Zhejiang, which became the tourist hotspots in northern Zhejiang. South Lake is located in the water network zone of Taihu Lake basin, with humid climate and superior natural conditions, which determines that most days of the year are rainy, so it is often rainy in the morning and rainy in the evening, especially during the Qingming Festival, when it rains, South Lake is foggy and the lake is vast, so South Lake has forged an indissoluble bond with misty rain.

South Lake covers an area of more than 800 mu, and there are two islands in the lake. One is the island in the middle of the lake, with an area of less than 18 mu, like a bright pearl embedded in the South Lake. There are ancient garden buildings, pavilions and rockeries on the island. There is a lotus pond at the southern end of the island, which can be described as a pool in the lake and a dike in the island. Another small island is Cangsheng Temple, called Xiaoyulou, which is located in the northeast corner of Nanhu Lake.

For thousands of years, South Lake has attracted tourists from all over the world with its unique charm. Scholars of all ages have left countless poems, songs and pictures for Nanhu Lake. Today, South Lake is world-famous, mainly because an epoch-making event happened in South Lake in modern history. The first National Congress of the Producers' Party of China completed the final agenda here and announced the establishment of the Producers' Party of China. Since then, Nanhu Lake has become an important revolutionary memorial. 196 1 and 198 1 year, the people's government of Zhejiang Province twice announced that the Yuyan Building in Nanhu was a provincial key cultural relic protection unit. 200 1 Jiaxing Nanhu "First National Congress" site was designated as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
