Evolution of Chengxiang Street

Chengxiang Street was established in 200 1, and manages 69 villages in the west of Chengxiang Town (namely Tonghui, Jiangsi and Chengxi Office). The office is located at Wenhua Road 138.

In April, 2002, five reconstructed villages, such as Chejiadai and Meihualou in Xintang Street, and two reconstructed villages, such as Nanmen and Xianjia in Shushan Street, were included in Chengxiang Street, and two residential areas, such as Tongda Li and Shangcheng West Village, were included in Xintang Street. In the same year, Ouhubang, Dongmen Apartment, Garden Well, Ivory Bang, Jincheng Garden, Shuiting Ruins, Chen Gong Bridge, No.1 Huilan Nanyuan, No.2 Huilan Nanyuan, No.3 Huilan Nanyuan, No.4 Huilan Nanyuan, Shannan Bridge, Dongyang Bridge, Zhongyuan, Yaojiatan, Xueshi Bridge, No.1 Huilan Beiyuan, No.2 Huilan Beiyuan, No.1 Yucai Dongyuan, Jinjiaqiao, etc. Gao Qiao, Xujiahe, Meihualou, Nanmen, Xianjiaya Community, and newly-built Ouhubang, Chengongqiao, Dongyang Bridge, Huilan Beiyuan, Huilan Nanyuan, Yucai Dongyuan, Yucai Xiyuan, Yanzi River, Lihenghe, Jiangsi, Downtown Bridge, Bai Chi Residence and Taiping.

May, 2005 18 "Reply of Xiaoshan District People's Government on Community Division of Chengxiang Street": 1. Cancel Yucai Xiyuan, Shixinqiao and Lihenghe three communities. 2. The original Yucai Xiyuan Community was merged into He Yanzi Community. The boundary is Yucai Road in the east, Xiaoshao Road in the south, downtown road in the west and Beigan Mountain in the north. 3. The original Henghe Community was merged into Xihe Road Community. The borders are: east to the downtown road, south to Renmin Road, west to zhejiang-jiangxi railway, north to Chengbei Road and Xiao Yong Railway. 4. Chengbei River in Xinqiao Community of the former city was classified as Jiangsi Community. The boundaries of Jiangsi Community are: Xiao Ran East Road in the east, Renmin Road to Wenhua Road around Jiangsi Road in the south, downtown Road in the west and Xiaoshao Road in the north. 5. The south of Xinqiao Community Town in the former city was designated as Tuo Community. The boundary of Baichilou Community is: Yanhe Road in the east, Xiao Ran South Road in the south, Shixin Road in the west, Renmin Road to Hecheng River in the north. On May 27th, Xiaoshan District Government approved: 1, revoking Hutouchen Village and establishing Hutouchen Community; 2. Cancel Dongxiang village and establish Dongxiang community; 3. Cancel Duhu Village and establish Duhu Community.

By the end of 2005, it has an area of 18 square kilometers and a population of126,000. Its office is located at Wenhua Road 138, which governs Ouhubang, Chengongqiao, Donglanqiao, Huilan Beiyuan, Huilan Nanyuan, Yucai Dongyuan, Yanzi River, Jiangsi and Baicheng.
