Building plan, elevation and section show the plane layout, external shape and main dimensions of the building. In order to meet the construction requirements, the detailed structure of the building is expressed in a large proportion. This kind of drawing is called architectural detail drawing, sometimes called detail drawing, such as stair detail drawing and wall detail drawing. Detailed drawings are characterized by large scale, and commonly used scales are 1:50, 1:20, 1: 10, 1:5, etc. Here, taking the detailed drawing of the external wall as an example, the detailed drawing in the construction drawing is introduced.

1. corner. Exterior wall footing mainly refers to the shape, size, material and structure of the window sill and its following parts, including apron (or open ditch), moistureproof layer, skirting line, ground and footstool.

2. the middle part. It mainly includes the shape, size, material and structure of floor slab, door and window lintel and ring beam. It should also show the relationship between the floor and the external wall.

3. cornice. The shape, size, material and structure of the roof, cornice, parapet and roof ring beam shall be marked. Wall details are generally drawn at the ratio of 1:20. Due to the large scale, the structure of each part, such as structural layer and surface layer, should be represented in detail, and the corresponding legend symbols should be drawn.
