As the birthplace of Chinese civilization, which has the longest history, Shaanxi or Henan?

Shaanxi and Henan are the cradles of Chinese civilization. Generally speaking, they are the same age.

The most paleolithic sites found on the ground of the origin of civilization are in Shanxi (Ding Cun site, Shuhe culture, Western Houdu culture), Lantian people in Shaanxi are earlier, and the Weaving Cave site in Henan is later. However, not all human remains in the Paleolithic Age are our ancestors of the same lineage, so Zhoukoudian people and Lantian people, since they are not human beings of the same lineage, are not called sooner or later.

Looking at the Neolithic Age, about 9000 ~ 8000 BC, our ancestors entered the primitive Neolithic Age, and agriculture and animal husbandry sprouted. Judging from the sites discovered now, Peiligang in Henan was about 1000 years earlier than Yangshao culture, and the center of Yangshao culture is Guanzhong, Shaanxi. It seems that Henan is earlier than Shaanxi.

However, 7,000 years ago, most of Henan was still Wang Yang, and it will never become the center of human culture. So it is not surprising that Yangshao Cultural Center is located in Shaanxi.
