Legal analysis: Who is responsible for the leakage of residential owners? In order to confirm the cause of water leakage in the main pipeline, the responsibilities are divided as follows:

1. If the decoration leaks, it is the responsibility of the decoration company;

2. If the water leakage is not caused by the decoration company, it is the property responsibility. At this point, if the main pipeline does not have a 2-year warranty period, the construction unit may investigate the property responsibility;

3. If the warranty period expires, the property can only compensate itself.

Legal basis: Article 51 of the Regulations on Property Management, water supply, power supply, gas supply, heating, communication, cable television and other units are responsible for the maintenance and conservation of relevant pipelines, facilities and equipment within the property management area according to law.

If the units specified in the preceding paragraph temporarily occupy or dig roads and sites due to maintenance, they shall promptly restore the original state.
