To apply for a homestay, you need to meet six conditions.

To start a homestay, you need to obtain six certificates, namely: hygiene license, business license, tax registration certificate, special trade license, fire inspection qualified opinion, food circulation license or catering service license.

Legal basis: Article 33 of the Regulations on the Administration of Ethnic Accommodation in People's Republic of China (PRC) shall meet the following conditions:

(a) with the consent of the owners whose exclusive parts account for more than half of the total residential building area and more than half of the total number of people;

(2) Where the owner changes his domicile to business premises, he shall obtain the consent of the interested owner;

(three) involving the change of residential use function, it shall be approved by the planning administrative department in accordance with the law;

(4) Conforming to other relevant laws, regulations and management regulations.
