Is the upstairs leakage responsible for the downstairs?

It depends on where the water leaks. Treatment of water leakage from upstairs to downstairs:

(1) There are two kinds of water leakage in a house, one is that the water pipe is broken, which leads to water leakage, and the other is that the waterproof design is not done well, which leads to water leakage. But no matter what kind of water leakage, it is caused by the poor material selection and construction of the owner of the leaking decoration, so the landlord can communicate with the owner upstairs first.

(2) If there is water leakage upstairs, first of all, you should know that this situation is man-made, and if it is, you need to solve it yourself. If the cause of water leakage is a neighbor's problem, then you can ask the house inspection department to check the cause and identify it.

(3) If the reason for the water leakage of the house is not due to ideological reasons, and the house is still under warranty, then the developer should bear the corresponding responsibility for the water leakage. If the owner of the top floor leaks water, the maintenance cost shall be borne by the developer or property company. If the cause of water leakage is caused by the neighbors upstairs, you can discuss with your neighbors and raise the issue of maintenance compensation.
