Regulations of Xiamen Municipality on Fire Control

Chapter I General Provisions Article 1 These Regulations are formulated in accordance with the basic principles of relevant laws and administrative regulations and in light of the actual situation of this Municipality in order to strengthen fire control work, prevent and reduce fires, and ensure personal and property safety. Article 2 The fire control work shall implement the policy of putting prevention first and combining prevention with elimination, promote the socialization of fire control work and implement the responsibility system for fire control safety. Article 9 The legal representative or principal person in charge of an organ, organization, enterprise or institution is the first person in charge of fire safety of the unit, who is responsible for the fire safety of the unit and performs the following duties:

(a) to formulate and implement the fire safety responsibility system, fire prevention plan and safety measures such as the evacuation of personnel in case of fire;

In the event of a fire accident, the insured insurance institution shall cooperate with the public security fire control institution to conduct a fire investigation.

The relevant business personnel and insurance agents of insurance institutions shall receive fire protection knowledge training.
