On the basis of reading some design documents of wage management information system in small enterprises, this paper writes a summary with my own understanding.

1. Introduction

Informatization is the general trend of economic and social development in the world today. The wage management information system that adapts to the development of information technology will surely become a powerful means for enterprises to improve the efficiency and level of wage management, and it will also be the main development trend for enterprise wage management to adapt to environmental changes in the future. Salary management information system will be an indispensable part of enterprises, and it is very important for decision makers and managers of enterprises. As a part of computer application, using computer to manage enterprise salary information has incomparable advantages over manual management. For example: fast retrieval, convenient search, high reliability, large storage capacity, good confidentiality, long service life and low cost. These advantages can greatly improve the efficiency of enterprise information management, and are also important conditions for scientific and standardized enterprise management and integration with the world.

2. Research status at home and abroad

Management information system is the product of "post-industrial economy era" in the early 1970s. Enterprise management information system is a single man-machine system in the early stage of its development, with simple functions, low efficiency and limited effect on management. At the end of 1980s, with the vigorous development of computer network and communication technology, enterprise management information system entered a period of networked development. Developed countries in the world have established perfect and advanced management information systems. Because the management information system itself and its corresponding computer information application technology are very mature. Almost all developed countries have established their own human resource management information system, which is nationwide and covers the whole country's human resource management field. The personnel department or labor department of a foreign company has generally established a computer information system, which is responsible for human resources or labor management within the company. Therefore, the development and application of wage management information system has been very popular abroad. At the same time, the human resource management information system in developed countries has been networked nationwide, so it plays a huge role in the field of social and economic development.

The great development of management information system in China was in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The state has successively established "Golden Card", "Golden Gate" and "Golden Bridge" projects, and most enterprises and institutions have established local area network and wide area network management information systems. With the world economy and China economy gradually moving towards knowledge economy, the management information system based on industrial economy and the expert system or decision support system for a few experts and managers have further developed in terms of processing objects and service objects, system structure and processing capacity.

With the joint efforts of the national labor authorities and domestic computer application developers, a variety of general wage management information system software has emerged for enterprises to choose from, and a variety of general tools have emerged for enterprises to develop their own wage management information systems. It should be said that the development and application of wage management information system has entered a relatively mature stage in China.

3. Development of information system

5. The characteristics of the wage management system.

For small enterprises, the practicability and sufficiency of functions are important conditions for enterprises to choose software products. The practicability here mainly lies in that the management mode of the software should conform to the original management habits of the enterprise.

In China, the management of a large number of small enterprises is not standardized, especially between industries, which has its distinctive industry characteristics. Even among the same industries, there are some differences in their management methods. Therefore, for a salary management system that can be widely used, on the one hand, it should be universal and more effective and flexible. For example, enterprises are allowed to choose a variety of wage calculation methods according to actual needs; Or according to the actual salary items and the logical relationship between the items.

Small enterprises lack information talents. For these enterprises, CIO is a relatively distant concept. Salary data is an important basic data for enterprises. At the same time, piece-rate wage data is naturally related to business secrets such as output, cost and quality of enterprises. Therefore, for small enterprises that implement piecework (hourly) wage mixed system, the security requirements for wage data will be higher than those of ordinary enterprises.

Small-scale enterprises are the most active economy in China and belong to the growth group. A large number of outstanding enterprises in its group will rapidly grow into medium-sized or even large enterprises. Providing a highly scalable salary management system will help to ensure the continuity of information input and application in small enterprises.

At present, there are many excellent enterprise information products, but the high application cost makes a large number of small enterprises flinch. For the salary management system needed by these enterprises, on the one hand, the software system itself is required to be cheap and good, on the other hand, the corresponding hardware investment is also required to be relatively low. At the same time, in the application process, try to reduce the maintenance costs, including labor costs, technology costs and capital costs. Through the organic management of wage data, information such as product, output, product quality and employee skill level can be mined. Establishing a compensation management system based on Delphi for small enterprises meets the actual needs of small enterprises (especially labor-intensive enterprises).

6. Related technologies

There are many and complicated controls used in the system design, but some modules, such as input module and report module, have the same design ideas, although there are many forms designed. When designing, according to this idea, we can design the most complicated form and other forms, which can achieve twice the result with half the effort. Although Delphi application platform also has its own data management system, the data management ability lags far behind the data application ability, and it is often prone to the phenomenon that data lags behind the application program. SQL SERVER has strong data management ability and is completely compatible with the existing WINDOW series operating systems, so SQL SERVER database management system is selected as the database management system. How to make the application software developed by Delphi access SQL SERVER and how to read, write and update data from SQL SERVER is a difficult point in system design. Open database connection (ODBC) can be used to access ODBC data sources through BDE function of Delphi, but ODBC connection is usually connected manually in the control panel of the operating system. Moreover, ordinary users don't know how to establish ODBC connection, so an independent module must be designed in the system for users to make ODBC connection, which involves the modification of the registry and how to save ODBC connection information in the system configuration file. OLE commands for writing to the registry are used in the design, such as:
