How to compensate for the leakage from upstairs to downstairs?

There are two main compensation methods for leakage upstairs and downstairs:

1. If property losses are caused, it shall be calculated according to the market price or reasonable method at the time of property losses;

2. If personal injury is caused, compensation shall be made for medical expenses, nursing expenses, transportation expenses, nutrition expenses, hospital food subsidies and other reasonable expenses for treatment and rehabilitation, as well as the income reduced due to missed work. If the other party refuses to pay compensation, it may bring a lawsuit and settle it through consultation.

Article 120

Where the civil rights and interests are infringed, the infringed has the right to request the infringer to bear the tort liability. Article 165

If the actor infringes upon the civil rights and interests of others due to his fault, he shall bear the tort liability.

If the actor is presumed to be at fault according to the law and cannot prove that he is not at fault, he shall bear tort liability. Article 167

If the infringement endangers the personal and property safety of others, the infringed party has the right to request the infringer to bear the tort liability such as stopping the infringement, removing the obstruction and eliminating the danger. Article 184

If the property of others is infringed, the property loss shall be calculated according to the market price at the time of the loss or other reasonable means.
