Provisions on jurisdiction of elevator installation disputes

The provisions of the Civil Law on the installation of elevators are as follows:

1. Taking the 6th floor as an example, 8 or even 6 households in 12 agreed to apply for installing elevators;

2. The installation of elevators does not require the consent of all owners, and the residents at the bottom have no veto power;

3. If residents think that the installation of the elevator has harmed their own interests, they can claim compensation, but they cannot obstruct the elevator construction.

Precautions for installing elevators in old buildings are as follows:

1, the elevator should be equipped with handrails on three sides, because most of the old people in the old community are inconvenient to move, and the elevator has handrails to catch, so the safety factor will be higher;

2, the elevator car area should not be too small, at least to meet the wheelchair traffic, to provide convenience for the elderly with mobility difficulties;

3. Cameras should be installed inside and outside the elevator for 24-hour monitoring to prevent uncivilized people from illegally using the elevator or maliciously damaging the elevator. At the same time, a battery car blocking system should be installed to prevent the battery car from entering and causing a fire.

To sum up, most residents who are willing to install elevators can apply to the people's court to support the installation of elevators, remove obstacles and share the costs according to the proportion of floors. If the judgment is not automatically executed, it may apply to the people's court for compulsory execution.
