Taiyuan Old Town is located between North Street, Wuyi Road, Yingze Street and Xinjian Road.

North Street is surrounded by a moat in the southeast and northwest. There are two doors on each wall, and now only the small north gate building (reconstruction) and a small wall in North Street are left. The rest were demolished in the urban reform.
