Viewpoint Real Estate New Media has learned that five departments, including the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Housing Authority, recently issued "Several Opinions on Further Improving the Installation of Elevators in Existing Multi-storey Residential Buildings in this Municipality", requiring that an account be opened for elevator management, and an account be established according to the house number, so as to carry out daily management. When the account balance is insufficient, the representative of the owner who has installed the elevator shall promptly organize the owner who has installed the elevator to continue to raise funds according to the agreed proportion.

It is worth noting that when the ownership or use right of the elevator owner's house changes, the relevant rights and obligations of installing the elevator are inherited by the changed house owner. The owner who has installed the elevator shall also inform other owners who have installed the elevator in writing, and clearly inform the transferee of the rights and obligations of installing the elevator in the contract.
