In September, 196 1, Xinhailian City was renamed Lianyungang City, and the name of the hospital was changed to Xinpu People's Hospital of Lianyungang City, led by the Health Bureau of the Municipal People's Committee. Prior to this, Xinhailian City was under the jurisdiction of Xuzhou, and in June 1962 was upgraded to a provincial city. The hospital is also a provincial hospital, led by the Municipal Health Bureau.

1980 On September 29th, Lianyungang Municipal People's Government, according to the report of the Municipal Health Bureau, replied with Lian (1980) 150, restored its original name and renamed it as a municipal hospital, and the Second People's Hospital was named as Lianyungang People's Hospital.

1986 In September, Lianyungang Municipal People's Government decided to rename Lianyungang People's Hospital as Lianyungang First People's Hospital.

1993 10, reported by the municipal health bureau and the municipal red cross society, and approved by the provincial red cross society. The name of the hospital is "Lianyungang First Red Cross Hospital", and the name of "Lianyungang First People's Hospital" is also used.

1999, Lianyungang No.1 People's Hospital was approved by the Provincial Education Commission as "Lianyungang Hospital Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical College", thus confirming the status of teaching hospital, and was officially listed in June 2000.

On September 27th, 20001,the municipal government issued the document (200 1)137, which made it clear that the First People's Hospital of Lianyungang was a department-level institution.

From June to 10, 2004, Dongfang Hospital (second-level general hospital) was merged into our hospital.

In 2005, there were 25 wards, 952 beds, 38 clinical and medical departments, 6 medical centers and 3 municipal research institutes and laboratories. The hospital currently has 12 14 employees, including health technicians 1079, senior professional titles of 23 1 person and intermediate professional titles of 36 1 person.

On September 22, 2008, the hospital was re-recognized as the first batch of Red Cross medical institutions by Jiangsu Red Cross Society and named as "Lianyungang First Red Cross Hospital".
