A strong economic city with unique competitiveness and an ecologically livable humanistic city.

● The nature and function of the city

Urban nature: north of the city, central city of Xiangxi, comprehensive transportation hub and ecologically livable city. Urban functions include: North City Business Logistics Center, New Industrial Base, Tourism Service Base and Cultural Education Base.

● Population and land use scale

By 2020, the urban population in the central city will be 1 1.5 million, and by 2030, the urban construction land will be 60 square kilometers.

Development strategy and key points of low vision cities.

Long-term urban development strategy: on the premise of expanding the urban flood control circle, the transnational Maji River will expand eastward, opening up a situation for the longer-term development of the city. Focus of long-term development: Attention should be paid to the connection with the built-up area in the long-term development to the east, control the eastward extension of the main roads in the eastern part of the city, and reserve the possibility that the north-south main roads in Dongjiang area extend southward across Majiji, so as to ensure the functionality and integrity of the main road network in the long-term development area. The new cross-Yuanjiang channel between Jiangnan urban area and prospective development land will be connected with the main traffic arteries.
