Introduction of female riveters

Female riveters are a cultural symbol of the United States, representing 6 million women who entered manufacturing factories during World War II (these jobs were traditionally done by men). The image of female riveters is now regarded as a symbol of feminism and women's economic strength. The United States began to accept women wearing pants, which is also attributed to female riveters.
