Singapore visa issue

I. Introduction to EPEC:

At present, Singapore's economic development is accelerating, and the demand for labor services is also increasing, especially for science and engineering talents. However, few people apply for employment permits directly through agency companies, because many companies dare not blindly select talents. The EPEC license provides a good opportunity for both parties.

EPEC is a new license issued by Singapore government. For foreign professionals (bachelor degree or above) who want to find employment opportunities in Singapore. After EPEC is issued, these professionals can stay for two years. Once they find a job, they can convert it into an EPEC employment permit. After half a year, employment permit holders can apply to become permanent residents and enjoy the housing, schooling, medical care and other related benefits of the Singapore government.

EPEC itself is not a visa. Applicants need to apply for a short-term visa for one month before they can get a new one, and then change it to a long-term visa. EPEC can only apply once per person.

2. Application conditions:

Undergraduate or master graduates, male or female, regardless of age, but usually we don't apply for 40.

Applicants over the age of 18. Major in science and engineering. Unlimited quantity.

Three. Documents required for application:

1. Detailed resume in Chinese and English;

2. Notarization of professional qualification certificates such as academic qualifications, diplomas and graduation achievements;

3. A copy of the passport valid for more than 6 months;

2 recent 4. 2-inch photo;

Four. The application period is 3-4 weeks:

Note: 1. According to previous cases, EPEC holders usually find an employer within three months after arriving in a new place, at the earliest one month.

2. Nearly 2/3 of the candidates found their own jobs, and some friends helped or turned to intermediary companies for help.

3. All EPEC applications approved by the holder are popular in Singapore and easy to find jobs.

I believe EPEC is what it is and what it is used for. Everyone learned about it from the internet. Here, I will focus on the process from preparing the application to getting the Singapore LTSVP, hoping to help you.

I. EPEC treatment

About last August, a Singaporean company came to China for an interview. I have been planning to come to Singapore to work or study ever since. About 65438+ 10 month, adult lp was informed that he would go to a new job in 65438+ 10 month. We suddenly found the EPEC project on the Internet and started to prepare.

First of all, I looked up the materials needed by EPEC on the Internet. My degree is undergraduate, and I just graduated in July 2006. I am engaged in mechanical design related work in a foreign company in Shenzhen. EPEC requires notarization of my degree and education, transcripts (in English), copies of my passport, photos and EPEC application form (which can be downloaded from the Ministry of Human Resources). Fortunately, when I was in the third year of high school, I applied for the standard transcripts of other schools, so I didn't have to go back to school to handle them, which saved a lot of trouble.

Finally, after a notarized degree and education, EMS will contact Singapore and Shanghai. To be on the safe side, I also asked the company to issue an employment certificate and write my own resume. About the third day after the materials were sent out, I received a reply saying that EPEC had been completed and was being sent back. It took about two or three days to receive EPEC. (Note here: EPEC processing is free. Don't believe that many domestic intermediaries charge five or six thousand yuan. )

Second, apply for a visa.

According to EPEC, you can enter Singapore with any form of visa, then go to ICA Building and hire EPEC to convert your visa into a one-year long-term social visit pass, and then you are eligible to find a job.

After receiving EPEC, first consult online about how to apply for a visa. The first reaction at that time was to find a travel agency to apply for a tourist visa. But when I was studying in Wuhan, my passport was issued in Hubei. A deposit is required to apply for a tourist visa. If you enter Singapore to find a job within the validity period of the tourist visa and do not return home, the deposit will not be refunded. I asked several travel agencies at that time, but it didn't work. (Note: Passports issued by some cities in China do not require deposit. Please consult the travel agency for details. )

Finally, I have to go to Guangzhou in person. I need my passport, EPEC, 14 form and photos. Fortunately, everything is going well. After seeing EPEC, the visa officer directly applied for an entry visa, valid for 35 days. I submitted my visa application on February 7th and got it on February 9th.

Third, enter Singapore and apply for LTSVP.

Buying air tickets online (Tiger Airways) is very cheap. Less than 1000 RMB from Shenzhen to Singapore.

March 1 1 arrived in Singapore, which was a Sunday. Go to ICA to apply for LTSVP on Monday morning.

Required materials: passport, epec, white card (the kind given when entering the country). I received my passport, white card, epec and passport copy when I submitted it, and was told to pick it up the next day. As a result, my passport was returned to me the next day and I was given a medical examination form. On the same day, I went to Raffles Hospital for a physical examination (at this time, my visa has been postponed for two months), and I went back to the hospital to get the physical examination report two days later.

Then take the medical report and passport to ICA. You need to fill in another form of 14, and then you can get LTVSP in the afternoon and give me a green card with FIN number instead of a white card. You can directly find a job.

This is the basic situation, I hope I can help you. Good luck to everyone!
