The recruitment of Sichuan Panda Base requires a college degree or above, and majors in animal husbandry, veterinary medicine and biology are preferred.

Other conditions

1, law-abiding, dedication, good interpersonal skills and teamwork spirit, love the cause of giant panda protection.

2, good health, no infectious diseases. Under 35 years old, male 165cm or above, female 158cm or above, can bear hardships and stand hard work. (Those with greater strength are also preferred).

Matters needing attention in raising pandas

An adult giant panda weighing 100 kg eats 12- 16 hours a day in spring, eating about 10- 18 kg of bamboo leaves and stems, or 30-38 kg of fresh bamboo shoots. Such a huge food intake is definitely not satisfied within the range of giant panda activities in the base.

Therefore, breeders need to go to the mountains every day and cut down all kinds of fresh bamboo and bamboo shoots according to the tastes and preferences of each roller. The angle, strength and posture of cutting are very particular, not simple manual work.
