Hefei Haydn School is a nine-year compulsory education school. It is the former Haydn Campus of Nanyuan Xincun School in Hefei City. In the autumn of 2009, primary and secondary school enrollment began at the same time. Ma Yue, the principal of Hefei Haydn School, was the executive principal of the headquarters of Hefei No. 48 Middle School, a famous school in Hefei. Under his leadership, Hefei Haydn School and Hefei No. 48 Middle School became the first schools to be established. The 48th Central Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences selected some outstanding teachers to teach at Haydn School.

The school has developed rapidly since its establishment, with the number of students growing from more than 800 to more than 2,300 currently. New students are facing enrollment without classrooms. The school's new teaching building, which was completed and opened in August last year, still cannot meet the enrollment needs. This year, the school has renovated 6 functional rooms as classrooms to solve the problem of enrolling children from surrounding residents to the greatest extent possible.
