The fault arc detection device or detection module shall conform to the national standard GB 14287.4-20 14, Electrical Fire Monitoring System Part 4: Fault Arc Detector, and its standard name is Fault Arc Detector. The legal testing unit of this standard is Shenyang Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, and the test report is stamped with the seal of "National Fire Electronic Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center". As of March, 20 18, at present, the products only have inspection reports entrusted by the national standard, and the type inspection and CCCF certification have not been released for the time being.

The application specification of the fault arc detector is GB50116-2013 Code for Design of Automatic Fire Alarm System, which requires that the lighting circuit should be monitored by the fault arc detector in the space with a height of12m to avoid electrical fire in the electrical circuit that is difficult to check. The landmark DB37/T-2863-20 16 in Shandong Province has increased the application scope of the fault arc detector, and it is required to install the fault arc detector in nursing homes, kindergartens, welfare homes, shopping malls and markets where inflammable and explosive substances are stored, and other places where people with mobility difficulties gather.
