Li Ding was born in a peasant family in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. 1945 entered Wuxi county junior high school after graduating from primary school. 1948 went to Shanghai to attend high school and graduated from Shanghai Chengzhong middle school. Many of Li Ding's mother and other family members are textile workers and have deep feelings for the textile industry.

1953, graduated from East China Institute of Textile Technology, majoring in cotton textile, and was assigned to work in Shanghai No.9 Cotton Textile Factory. He has served as a technician, engineer and deputy section chief of scientific research department. 1954 was rated as a young socialist activist in Shanghai.

1958, graduated from Russian Institute of Sino-Soviet Friendship Association (junior college).

65438-0958 started the research of electrostatic spinning, and served as the director of electrostatic spinning workshop after expanding the pilot test.

1959, 1963, 1964, attended the Shanghai Advanced Workers' Congress as the representative of the advanced collective.

1April, 1966, participated in the Shanghai Science and Technology Conference as an outstanding scientific and technological worker. During the "Cultural Revolution", Li Ding was sent to work in the workshop, during which he studied and tried to make air-cushioned revolving steel rings for spun yarn and twisted polyester cotton products.

1977 was rated as an advanced worker in Shanghai and the Ministry of Textile Industry and an advanced individual in Daqing; 1978 served as the deputy chief engineer of the factory; 1978 participated in the National Science Conference and was rated as an advanced individual.

1978, 1979, 198 1 were elected as model workers in Shanghai.

1982 was promoted to senior engineer, and 1989 was promoted to the first batch of professor-level senior engineers in Shanghai Textile System.

1983- 1993 deputy director of Shanghai textile industry bureau.

1984- 199 1 President of Shanghai Textile Research Institute, 1984- 1994 Director of Printing and Dyeing Development Center of Ministry of Textile Industry, 1984- 1992 Director of Shanghai Huo Xing Farm.

1994- 1997 Chairman of Shanghai United Industrial Corporation, Shanghai United Wool Textile Co., Ltd., Shanghai Bai Le Wool Textile Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong Bai Le Dyeing and Finishing Factory Co., Ltd.

Li Ding joined China 1979 in April.

Li Ding is a member of the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th CPPCC. Among them, the fifth session will serve as the deputy director of the CPPCC Science and Technology Committee, and the sixth, seventh and eighth sessions will serve as the deputy director of the CPPCC Economic Committee.

Li Ding is the 20th and 21st Vice Chairman of China Textile Engineering Society, the 22nd Honorary Vice Chairman of Shanghai Textile Engineering Society and the 6th and 7th Chairman.
