In today's society, has gender equality been achieved?

In today's society, I don't think equality between men and women has been fully realized. Although the country has always advocated equality between men and women, and with the improvement of the humanistic quality of the whole society, the status of women has been obviously improved, and women have also engaged in various industries and fields aimed at women, but gender equality has not been fully realized.

First of all, in education, in ancient times, women had almost no right to education and work. Only a few big families attach importance to the education of their children, which will make women study in private schools at home, but they can't take science exams like men and win glory for their families. In today's society and cities, because the country implemented the one-child policy a few years ago, a family can only have one child, regardless of whether it is born or not, so girls in urban families enjoy the same opportunities of care and education as boys. However, in China, the vast majority of the population is still in rural areas, and a large part of the population lives in poverty, so girls cannot receive enough educational opportunities after birth. In the audience of higher education in China, the number of women is still less than that of men.

On the other hand, in social work, women will still be discriminated or restricted to some extent when they apply for jobs. Many companies are afraid that women will have children, get pregnant soon after working, and then take maternity leave and breastfeeding leave. According to national laws, it is not allowed to dismiss female employees during pregnancy and maternity leave, so the company will consider the cost of employing people and worry about the contribution rate of female employees in the workplace. Therefore, bosses are more willing to recruit male employees in the same year. Therefore, women are not treated equally with men in job hunting.

Moreover, after entering the workplace, women's promotion opportunities are not as good as those of men. Looking at the leaders of various units, at the top of the pyramid, the proportion of men is far greater than that of women, so in the process of promotion, women cannot be equal to men.

In the family role, relatively speaking, women take on more responsibilities than men in caring for and educating their children. Especially in taking care of young children, the mother's contribution is obviously higher than that of the father.

Equality between men and women cannot be fully realized, so both society and family need the combination of men and women.
