How can I work abroad?

There are currently six methods.

The first is to study abroad and find a job;

The second is to give up the Communist Party of China and the Communist Party of China on the grounds of being persecuted. In the name of obtaining political asylum in the name of U.S. citizenship; (you are not allowed to return to your country before you obtain U.S. citizenship, and you need to hire a lawyer to litigate, which is extremely risky)

Third, meet an American of the opposite sex and marry him/her.

Fourth, directly participate in interviews with some well-known American companies (Google, Microsoft, Amazon...) in China and work directly in the United States.

Fifth, smuggle into the United States, give birth to a child, and the mother can obtain status after she turns 18.

Sixth, investment immigration (you need to employ at least three local people (no one has an annual salary of no less than 50,000 US dollars), and you need to have financial proof that the company is indeed profitable. You will be eligible to apply for status after three years. There is basically no job worth tens of millions. )

Most people take the first route. There are four specific ways to do it after studying abroad:

First, find a job directly and get it done. Get a work visa and then immigrate;

Second, join the army, but only less than 100 Chinese nationals are recruited a year, and they also need to take physical and language tests

Third, in the world Publish papers in first-class journals and apply for special talents. (Limited to PhD students from prestigious universities)

Fourth, find someone to marry. (Some are true and some are false)

In short, no matter which path you take, the price paid is very high. If you don’t have 10 years of preparation and execution, don’t even think about it! Of course, it is not ruled out that some people are particularly lucky, but the United States is a free and independent society. Everyone has to work, and if you don’t have any skills, your life here won’t be very comfortable. Even if they have skills, since the Chinese are not familiar with the local culture, they have no hope of promotion throughout their lives. When they are in their 40s or 50s, they will get the same salary as in their 20s and 30s. In addition, no company will provide you with an iron rice bowl. You may lose your job at any age, and you may need to start over and start a new career. It's not big news that a college professor lost his job to drive a truck.

Also, in the United States, it is basically impossible to eat authentic Chinese food. Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine may still be available, but other cuisines are basically hopeless. As for friends, everyone is as light as water, living their own lives without much contact. For the next generation, the pressure on Chinese Americans as a whole to be discriminated against is also very high. In addition, cultural differences are so great that your next generation may have completely different concepts from you. It's impossible for you to expect him to be filial. After the age of 20, they basically never go home. So living in the United States, loneliness is a problem for everyone.

Not sure what your current status is, if you are already abroad. At present, the employment situation in CS, nursing, and accounting is quite optimistic. If you're willing to work hard, it's not a bad idea to join the army, but be quick as places are limited. As for finding someone to get married to, I don’t recommend this, because people who can study abroad have some ideas of their own. It’s very painful for a person with his own ideas to live with someone who is not a good match.

If you plan to study abroad and immigrate, remember a creed: "Major is more important than ranking, and region is more important than school." That is to say, look for the best major and the area with the most job opportunities. Rather than a prestigious school, it is a cold major. If you are interested in doing computer science, it is also good to study mathematics. The major is cool enough, so it's easier to get a scholarship, but there's no pressure to switch to computer science.

If you are just unhappy at home and want to change the status quo by going abroad. So, I would like to advise you, think carefully about whether this is what you really want. As I said before, any path will take you nearly ten years to walk, and it may not work. With these 10 years, you won’t do too badly in anything you do in China!

Finally, let me remind you that although the United States is good, it may not be suitable for everyone. Only those who are not willing to deal with people, don’t care much about food, have extraordinary talents in a certain area, and can endure hardships better than ordinary people (and may lose their job at any time) are suitable for living in the United States. If you are not satisfied with any of the above items, then it is best to give up.

Choosing a future direction is the same as buying clothes. The most important thing is the fit rather than the brand.
