During the use of the well furnace, besides checking whether the circulating cooling water, bottom stirring fan, atmospheric pressure, furnace body seal and thermocouple are normal, the methanol cracking furnace and methanol cracking gas pipeline should be decarburized in time. In the process of use and maintenance, the sealing condition of the furnace body and the lubrication condition of the mechanical transmission parts of the equipment should be checked in time, and the amount of materials fed into the furnace should be controlled to ensure the stability of the shaft furnace process.

With the wide application of microcomputer control technology in shaft furnace production, special attention should be paid to:

(1) Before starting work, the air falling into the methanol cracking furnace pipeline must be exhausted;

(2) methanol is harmful to human body and environment, and the leakage of storage and transportation pipelines must be eliminated;

(3) CO and H in the furnace gas waste gas are flammable, explosive and toxic, and should be fully burned at the furnace mouth;

(4) Check whether the circulating cooling water, bottom stirring fan, atmospheric pressure, furnace body seal and thermocouple are normal. After continuous use, the methanol cracking furnace may produce carbon black, which is scattered in the furnace reactor and must be decarbonized once per furnace.

Incomplete decarbonization in the furnace will cause: (1) carbon deposition will lead to inaccurate thermocouple temperature measurement, resulting in excessive temperature of heating elements and damage to heating elements; (2) Incomplete methanol cracking and less atmosphere affect the process quality. Process of carbon removal in the furnace: close the main valve of the methanol furnace, close the outlet ball valve of the methanol flowmeter, open the upper ball valve, and discharge the carbon deposited at the outlet of the lower ball valve with a small steel bar or compressed air. If the carbon deposition in the furnace reactor is serious, it is necessary to open the reactor and clean the inside. After a period of use, impurities such as carbon black may be produced in the methanol cracking gas pipeline, and carbon should be removed regularly according to the situation. The method is to open the furnace cover of the annealing furnace, turn off the methanol cracking gas so that the methanol cracking gas pipeline is not communicated with the methanol cracking furnace, turn on the compressed air, and blow out the impurities in the methanol cracking gas pipeline until there is no black smoke in the annealing furnace. Other pipelines, such as the air inlet pipeline of the analyzer, can also be treated with compressed air. In case of leakage, soapy water can be used to detect the leakage.

During the use and maintenance of shaft furnace, the sealing condition of furnace body, lubrication and maintenance of mechanical transmission parts and regular adjustment of belt have great influence on the use. Therefore, each furnace must be inspected to avoid damage to the equipment due to excessive wear. In the process of operation, controlling the amount of materials charged into the furnace, avoiding overload use, correctly cleaning the carbon deposit in the cracking furnace and cleaning the protective atmosphere pipeline of the well furnace regularly are important factors to ensure the long-term stability of the well furnace process.
