Provisions of the State Council on Working Hours of Employees

5. If it is necessary to implement flexible working hours due to the nature of work and job responsibilities, the average working hours of employees shall not exceed 44 hours per week.

6. No unit or individual may extend the working hours of employees without authorization. If it is really necessary to extend working hours due to special circumstances and urgent tasks, it shall be implemented in accordance with relevant state regulations.
