Notice of the General Office of the Yangquan Municipal People’s Government on Adjusting the City’s Minimum Wage Standards

County (district) people’s governments, municipal units, and enterprises at or above the provincial level:

In accordance with the spirit of the "Notice of the General Office of the People's Government of Shanxi Province on Adjusting the Minimum Wage Standards in Our Province" (Jin Zheng Ban Fa [2014] No. 24) and combined with the actual situation of our city, the Municipal People's Government decided to adjust the current minimum wage standards . The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Raise the minimum wage standard. The current minimum wage standard in urban areas, mining areas, and suburbs will be adjusted from 1,290 yuan to 1,450 yuan. At the same time, the hourly minimum wage standard should be raised accordingly. After the adjustment, the hourly minimum wage standard for full-time workers is 8.3 yuan; the hourly minimum wage standard for part-time workers is 16.0 yuan.

The minimum wage standard in Pingding County and Yu County was adjusted from 1,090 yuan to 1,250 yuan. At the same time, the hourly minimum wage standard should be raised accordingly. After the adjustment, the hourly minimum wage standard for full-time workers is 7.2 yuan; the hourly minimum wage standard for part-time workers is 14.0 yuan.

2. Raise the minimum wage standard for underground coal mine workers. The current monthly minimum wage standards for underground mining personnel and underground auxiliary personnel will be adjusted from 1,800 yuan and 1,600 yuan to 2,000 yuan and 1,800 yuan respectively. At the same time, the hourly minimum wage standards for underground mining personnel and underground auxiliary personnel will be increased accordingly, to 11.5 yuan and 10.3 yuan respectively.

3. The minimum wage standard referred to in this notice is the monetary wage paid to workers by the employer after excluding the following items:

(1) Overtime wages;

(2) Allowances for special working environments and conditions such as middle shift, night shift, high temperature, low temperature, underground, toxic and harmful, driving, etc.;

(3) Laws, regulations and national regulations workers’ welfare benefits, etc.

4. This notice will be effective from April 1, 2014.
